Must See Treasures of the Great NYC Museums

Thursday, August 13

Your Choice of Two Sessions: 11:30 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.

During this time of social distancing and staycations, with museum closures, we are pleased to bring alumni an opportunity to participate in a special alumni version of this program from our Community Education department at WCC.

Event Description:
NYC is home to some of the finest museums in the world. This two-hour lecture will highlight many of these institutions and the most important works in each. Besides the Met and Moma we will learn about the hidden treasures in the many other great and often overlooked museums. We will examine the Frick, the Brooklyn Museum, the Whitney and several lesser known institutions such as the Neue Galerie, the Rubin, and the New York Historical Society. We will see and discuss the many important works they contain and why they are worth a special trip (when such trips are possible again).

Additional Information:
We are offering two sessions of this program to accommodate a variety of schedules. Whether you have the day off or are working from home, take advantage of the opportunity to learn more about these treasures. Be sure to choose which session you plan to attend on the registration. Zoom login will be sent to registrants the morning of the event.

We know these are tough times for many, and we are excited to bring unique programs to our alumni. There is no charge to attend this event, if however you are able, please consider making a small donation to help offset the cost of the event.
